Art by artists from the architectural professions of Scotland

John Miller

John studied architecture at Edinburgh University and the Mackintosh School. His architectural career saw him working in Africa, Hong Kong, Borneo and Australia. In Scotland he was a director of Reiach and Hall between 1993-1995 and Bennetts Associates in 2004-2011.

John has been engrossed in painting and printmaking since he retired in 2015. He paints in Indian Ink and oil and prints with relief ink and silk screen. His work is a visual diary of the scenes and subjects he encounters in the world which trigger a response in him. Much of his work is figurative, but it can also be semi or fully abstract.

He is a member of the Double Elephant print studio in Exeter and exhibits annually in Devon and Scotland.
