30th JULY to END AUGUST 2026
The SSAA will be holding at least two events in 2026 with plans for a major exhibition at the Scottish Arts Club in the autumn and a smaller summer exhibition and launch event to celebrate the society's new website, and open a new chapter of its history. On the theme of “REFRESH”, it is to be held at RIAS Gallery, 15 Rutland Square, Edinburgh. This exhibition will hold a Preview on Thursday July 30th between 5pm and 7pm and the exhibition will be open to the public during office hours throughout the whole of August 2026.

21st to 27th SEPTEMBER 2026
The exhibition site is the underbelly of the metropolis: a junction of the Milan Metro line with a Passante railway line. The noise and movement of the city in motion. The Passante is a “non-place” par excellence: a frenetic, underground transit space, where thousands of people pass every day without stopping.
We invite Architect-Artists to experiment with an expressive message that strikes those who pass by quickly or slowly, that accompanies them in an ordinary journey and captivates them, amazes them, and gives unexpected value to a predictable path. “Digging is an act of knowledge even before it is an act of construction.”

3rd to 13th NOVEMBER 2026
The next French ‘Ligne et Couleur’ exhibition, on the theme of Water in the City is to be held in Paris in November 2026 at the Town Hall of 5th arrondissement. Exhibitors and artists are invited to the Preview dinner, although accompanying persons will have to pay a €55 per/person fee on the evening.

Exhibition - November 3rd to 13th, 2026.
Preview & Artists’ Dinner - November 5th in the evening.
Completed forms must be returned to them in MS Word format or equivalent (no jpegs or pdfs). A high quality photo of your work to be presented in the catalog must be sent as a jpeg, well lit, well framed. No PDFs will be accepted. Membership of the Society is open to all registered architects, past and present students of architecture and those who have worked in architecture, planning and landscape in Scotland. Annual membership is currently only £20, with a reduced rate of £10 for students.
