The SSAA's Annual Exhibition will be held at the Scottish Arts Club, 24 Rutland Square, Edinburgh. All members are invited to submit works in accordance with the timetable below. We have space for up to 35 medium sized works, sculpture and browser prints, so get working!
Important Dates:
Hanging Date - Tuesday 6th October at 11.00am
Preview - Wednesday 7th October 6.00pm to 8.00pm
Takedown/Pickup - Tuesday 3rd November midday.
Forms need to be returned by 14th September and will be emailed out to members as well as being available to download here.
30th JULY to the end of AUGUST 2026
The SSAA exhibition “REFRESH”, is now open at RIAS Gallery, 15 Rutland Square, Edinburgh from Tuesdays to Thursdays during bookshop opening hours throughout the whole of August 2026. Please check times before travelling.

21st to 27th SEPTEMBER 2026
The exhibition site is the underbelly of the metropolis: a junction of the Milan Metro line with a Passante railway line. The noise and movement of the city in motion. The Passante is a “non-place” par excellence: a frenetic, underground transit space, where thousands of people pass every day without stopping.
We invite Architect-Artists to experiment with an expressive message that strikes those who pass by quickly or slowly, that accompanies them in an ordinary journey and captivates them, amazes them, and gives unexpected value to a predictable path. “Digging is an act of knowledge even before it is an act of construction.”

3rd to 13th NOVEMBER 2026
The next French ‘Ligne et Couleur’ exhibition, on the theme of Water in the City is to be held in Paris in November 2026 at the Town Hall of 5th arrondissement. Exhibitors and artists are invited to the Preview dinner, although accompanying persons will have to pay a €55 per/person fee on the evening.

Exhibition - November 3rd to 13th, 2026.

A high quality photo of your work to be presented in the catalogue must be sent as a jpeg, well lit, well framed. No PDFs will be accepted. Membership of the Society is open to all registered architects, past and present students of architecture and those who have worked in architecture, planning and landscape in Scotland. Annual membership is currently only £20, with a reduced rate of £10 for students.
